When I arrived at Andiswa’s charming childhood home, perched on a hilltop, on the outskirts of Butterworth, I couldn’t help but think what a lucky lady she was. Her family has a view that most people would envy. The house is not visible from the road, but as you drive further up the hill, you are suddenly welcomed by the most picturesque sight of rolling hill tops and a river in the distant valley. During photo takes, I would find myself outside admiring the view and enjoying the tranquility. I had time to photograph her handsome beau, Luba, at a nearby guest house and loved his cream suit with a touch of ethnic detail. Luba is a tall, handsome gentleman and took the morning in his stride and showed no angst, as he prepared with the help of his very dear friend (best man) and groomsmen, who all rallied around him and posed playfully in their special “Groomsman” Tees, organized by Andiswa. Their ceremony was held at the local 7th day adventist Church, where I saw many familiar faces (past bridal couples), and the service was held by one of my favorite pastor’s, fondly known as Pastor T. Andiswa chose beautiful peachy pastels for her bridesmaid’s dresses and reception décor. The reception was held at the Walter Sisulu University and we had about 20 minutes to capture photos before heading for the hall, but first Luba and his pretty bride had time for some goofy fun and posed with Walter Sisulu (the statue of course). Andiswa even planted a kiss on Walter’s cheek. Andiswa & Luba met in June 2007 during their 1st year at University. When they met, Luba asked Andiswa where she was from. She replied that she was from Butterworth to which he responded “My wife will come from Butterworth”. Three years later in their 3rd year they started dating and in 2011 Luba gave Andiswa a promise ring, to show that he was committed and wanted to build a family with her. In 2014, after the lobola negotiations were finalized, they decided to make things official the following year. Thank you for choosing me to capture your magical wedding day and may God Bless your marriage abundantly.
