Sakie and Zandile, who live in Gauteng, planned a tasteful and elegant wedding at Gonubie Manor, Eastern Cape, where Sakie grew up as a child. Zandile has flawless beauty and when I met her and Sakie, the first thing that I realized, is the attention they pay to the smallest details. Both are perfectionists, and their wedding day was nothing short of spectacular. Their decor theme included long tables, adorned with large standing silver candelabra and deep red roses that screamed sophistication, softened by an abundance of floating candles which created a beautiful, romantic ambience! Gonubie Manor was the perfect venue choice for their wedding. Their wedding cake was simply dazzling. So much planning and effort was put into this special occasion, from Zandile arriving in true style by helicopter, to the live band that entertained their guests. They also hired one of the best Master of Ceremonies in the wedding industry, Siya Mbathane Makwetu. Well done Sakie and Zandile on the success of your gorgeous wedding day, and thank you for choosing me to be a part of it, and allowing me to capture your special moments. Here is a little story from the bridal couple to enjoy, in their own words:-
“The numbers matter. We have been together for 12 years. God blessed us with beautiful children, Twelve Christmases, the list is endless”. Sakie and Zandile met at a friend’s house. “When I looked at this woman who came from the gym with a soft speaking voice, I thought, I’m going to marry that woman,” he fondly told his friends. Zandile continues the story….a few weeks later, out of the blue, Sakie sent me a message that read “asking for a date”. It was an ‘ahh’ moment for me. Afterward, on Valentine’s Day in 2003, we went to Coco Bongo in Montecasino, Fourways, one of my favourite restaurants ever. One date became two, then three, then we began to realise something serious was happening. We hit it off like nothing ever mattered.”
“Someone once told me that you find the most happiness in life in the small, seemingly insignificant things. There is wisdom in that statement, because we found happiness from sticking stickers onto brochures.” Mr. & Mrs. Magele
