Lorna, originally from Kenton-on-Sea, & Menso, from Gauteng, booked me for two days to capture their engagement party in Kenton-on-Sea, as well as their wedding ceremony the following day at the NG Kerk at Bushman’s River mouth. Their wedding reception was held about 10km away at Hunter’s Lodge. Lorna is such a breath of fresh air, she has the brightest smile and such a cheerful personality. Her pretty two piece dress and theme had a country feel. The flower arrangements were a mixture of colours including her rainbow wedding cake. Lorna is a very sentimental lady… on her wedding day she had gran’s favourite cotton handkerchief with her, still bearing her gran’s name in ink. Menso and his groomsmen looked debonair in their top hats and tail coats. After spending two days with this incredible couple and their friends (some who travelled from afar) and family, it felt like I had known then much longer. Lorna added many special touches to her wedding reception and the speeches were heartfelt and touching. A special private tribute was paid to her late dad in the Church gardens before the ceremony. I feel blessed to have been a part of their two day celebration.
