Thola and Phili chose the beautiful Gonubie Manor Wedding Farm as the venue for their wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, no wind, glorious sunshine and clear blue skies. Phili looked breathtaking in her wedding gown. Phili is one of the cutest brides ever and has such a delightful, cheerful personality. I found myself laughing so much during their photo shoot after the ceremony, because she clearly has her husband, Thola, wrapped around her little finger and every now and then I would catch her giving him a playful and mischievous smile or glance. She even has an endearing bossiness and cheekiness about her that I’m sure Thola finds captivating. This is their story:-
Tholakele (from King Williams Town) and Philiswa (from Mthatha) met at Rohodes University, located in the small town of Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape. They were both studying the same degree (BPharm) and knew each other as classmates and friends. As time went by, their friendship grew, until one evening, at a Gala Dinner, he asked her to dance with him. From that moment on their love just grew stronger and stronger until today…. 26th April 2015, they finally tied the knot…
A special thanks to my dear friend and talented artist and photographer, Leigh Skinner Tebbutt, for accompanying me on the day and capturing such lovely photos that have complimented mine so well in telling Phili and Thola’s story, and for those sneaky photos of me “in action” (LOL). As always, working together again was fun.
