Roxy made a stunning bride, with her beautiful big blue eyes and long raven hair. She and Teegan chose Umnenga Lodge as their reception venue and Gareth and Calista did an outstanding job putting together the beautiful setting, all in neutral, soft earthy shades with bunting and lanterns hanging from the ceiling beams. The wedding reception atmosphere was magical, romantic and intimate, witnessed by close friends and family. It was such a joy to be a part of their day, because I first met Roxy at her bridesmaid, Sammi’s wedding last year. There were so many special, heartfelt moments, one was when both her dad and stepdad walked her down the aisle. Her dad lives in Mozambique and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house when she had her “father-daughter” dance with him, even I had to hold back the tears, it was such a touching moment.
Here is their love story told in Roxy’s words: “As most love stories start….”as friends”…. so did ours. After a year long friendship we realized we loved each other, although neither of us had the nerve to admit it, until our first kiss on the boardwalk below the beautiful moonlight! So many memories and enjoyable moments have transpired since then, so much so, that 8 and a half years later, we went on on of those infamous “date nights” and concluded our evening with a romantic walk on the boardwalk, which turned into the most exciting moment of our lives…Teegz took me back to the place where it all began and popped the question….and we are living happily ever after”.
